St. Gabriel the Archangel is a messenger of Good News to Mary and Zechariah, foretelling the births of Jesus and John the Baptist.

The Gospel of Luke presents Gabriel announcing the birth of John to Zechariah and the birth of Jesus to Mary. This messenger identity is reflected in SGA’s institutional tagline, Messenger of Quality Catholic Education.
